BRYANT CHERRY
Business
Bryant is from Gastonia, NC. He is a senior here at NC State majoring in General Education with a concentration in Business Management. Once graduating in May he plans on moving to Charlotte, NC where he will pursue a career in mortgages. While at NC State he has been a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity while also participating in many intramural leagues. Outside of school he enjoys traveling all over the world with Santorini, Greece being his favorite place he has visited to far. Bryant is really looking forward to working here at The Hillsborough Street Community Service Corporation in hopes of improving the already great street of Hillsborough.
PAUL KIWANUKA
Tourism
Paul Kiwanka is a senior at NCSU working towards a degree in Parks & Recreation as well as business. Originally from Raleigh, NC, Paul is an avid supported of the Wolfpack. During his free time he enjoys watching his favorite professional sports teams play. Some of this teams include the Carolina Panthers, the Indiana Pacers and Chelsea FC. His duties at HSCSC include planning various events on Hillsborough Street. His most recent accomplishment was "Beat the Bearcats" and he is currently working on an event for East Village Bar & Grill.
CAROLINE LINKER
Communications
Caroline is a senior at NC State majoring in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and Organizational Communication. She has minors in both Spanish and Business Administration. She is a native to Concord, N.C. and loves everything about NC State! During her time at NC State, she has been actively involved with the Alumni Association Student Ambassador Program, an organization that plans and builds campus traditions throughout the year. Although she is a new member to HSCSC, she hopes to jump right into the excitement by working on upcoming events planned for the Hillsborough Street community. Upon graduation, she hopes to obtain a communication-public relations job in the music industry. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, supporting NC State athletic teams, and reading really good books. Caroline is excited to work with the other interns to make this the best Spring Live It Up Hillsborough Street! has seen!
ASHLEY MERRILL
Tourism
Ashley is a senior at NC State majoring in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management with a concentration in Tourism and Commercial Recreation. She is part of the NCA of Festivals and Events and a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Ashley is working closely with HSCSC and the committees of Art to Wear to create events on Hillsborough Street, and help market their event that will be held in the spring of 2012. A native of Asheville, North Carolina Ashley enjoys frequenting concerts, theme parks, and the beach during her free time. She is very excited about working with Hillsborough Street and cannot wait for the upcoming events!
ARTURO ROJAS-HOLMQUIST
Business
Arturo Rojas-Holmquist, was born in Merida, Venezuela (part of the South American Andes) and lived there for part of his life. Upon his arrival to the United States, Arturo has lived in various states including Mississippi and Alabama. At NCSU he is hoping his studies will afford him the opportunity to pursue a career in Marketing and Brand Management. When he is not interning or studying, he likes to hang out with friends, play soccer, and travel. Arturo’s interest in Marketing is what attracted him to HSCSC and he has taken this opportunity to work on various projects for Hillsborough Street. He is glad to be a part of making the street an iconic destination in Raleigh!
STEPHANIE SHYTLE
Communications
A senior majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in Media, Stephanie is a new member of the HSCSC intern team. Her duties at HSCSC include writing press releases, editing website content, and updating various Facebook pages for the organization. Stephanie is a native of Sunset Beach, North Carolina and grew up with a love for surfing and all things ocean related. During her years at NCSU, Stephanie has been a member of the women’s choir as well as an avid supporter of Wolfpack athletics. Stephanie has a personal connection with Hillsborough Street as she has been employed at That’s Amores pizza and hopes to see the street thrive. Upon graduating, she hopes to land a job in the communication field that will afford her the opportunity to travel. In her spare time she enjoys singing, running, hanging out with friends, and, of course, Living it up on Hillsborough Street!
CHASTIE TUTTLE
Events
Chastie Tuttle is a senior at North Carolina State. She is working towards a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism with a concentration in Program Management. Upon graduation, she plans to move to Atlanta, GA, and pursue a career in owning a group home for children. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, singing, and meeting new people. She looks forward to working with HSCSC by getting the community involved.
JORDAN SAWYER
Communications
Jordan Sawyer is a senior majoring in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations at North Caroline State University. She is also minoring in English. Although born and raised a Tar Heel, Jordan always knew she wanted to be a part of the Wolfpack. She loves cheering for the Wolfpack on game day - either in person or at her couch at home. In her free time, Jordan enjoys hanging out with friends, going to see movies and playing video games online with her friends back home in Camden, North Carolina.
JON GATLIN
Events
Jonathan is a Senior in the Natural Resources concentration, majoring in Sport Management with a minor in Coaching. He is a native of the great state of Texas, by way of Houston, but has truly enjoyed his time in North Carolina at NC State! His biggest aspiration is to coach College Basketball, and is excited about the aspect of community service that goes along with it. He loves networking with people, working alongside others, and to see projects get completed. In his free time he loves hanging with family and friends, playing golf, and reading. Jonathan is ready to help create a new buzz around Hillsborough street!
