Hayes Boone

Economic Development & Engagement Specialist

Hayes Boone returned to HSCSC in spring 2023 to become the Economic Development and Engagement Specialist. While in college, Boone interned for the Hillsborough Street Community Service Corporation and managed a family farming operation in Northampton County.

During his senior year, he earned my Real Estate license and moved to Kitty Hawk, NC to pursue a career in Real Estate sales for Surf or Sound Realty. He still manages real estate property throughout eastern NC and practices when he is able.

Born and raised in Eastern, North Carolina, Hayes is a 2020 graduate of NC State University with a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management and a concentration in program management.

Hayes enjoys spending time with his dog, Bruce, at the farm back in Jackson. He also attends all NC State home football games, enjoys observing wildlife and spending time with family.
