Hillsborough Street offers bus service on three main lines: The Wolfline, Go Raleigh, and Go Triangle.

All three bus services can be viewed in real-time using the TransLoc Rider app or on the Go Triangle website.

Some stops along the street serve one bus line, whereas other stops serve all three lines. The guide below provides an introduction to the options.

Wolfline (NC State University Bus Service)

The Wolfline is a FREE service for students and the entire community and require no pass or ID to board. Routes connect Main Campus to Centennial Campus, Centennial Biomedical Campus, two park-and-ride lots, and residential areas in the vicinity of NC State. Wolfline busses operate every day classes are in session as well as during exams. In addition to regular day and night service, Wolfline operates the Red Terror service to home football and basketball games. Wolfline also operates the Wolfprowl service, connecting Main Campus to the Glenwood South area and the R-line downtown circulator route.

Go Raleigh (City of Raleigh Bus Service)

Go Raleigh service connects the Moore Square Bus Station in downtown Raleigh to the entire Raleigh Area. Routes 4 and 12 make stops along Hillsborough Street, providing service to Rex Hospital, Crabtree Valley Mall, Meredith College, Peace College, and Seaboard Station, among others. Students, faculty, and staff of NC State can ride CAT busses free with a GoPass, which can be obtained through NCSU Transportation. Fare for regular riders is $1 per trip. Some CAT busses are equipped to transport bicycles as well. Trips can be planned at gotriangle.org.

Go Triangle (Regional Bus Service)

Go Triangle service connects Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Apex, Chapel Hill, and the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). Routes 100 (Raleigh-Airport-RTC), 105 (Raleigh-RTC), DRX (Durham-Raleigh Express), and CRX (Chapel Hill-Raleigh Express) make stops along Hillsborough Street. Students, faculty, and staff of NC State can ride TTA busses free with a GoPass, which can be obtained through NC State Transportation. Fare for regular riders is $2 per trip ($2.50 for express service). Trips can be planned at gotriangle.org.
