Live it Up! Launches Helpful Site

Raleigh – Hillsborough Street Community Service Corporation (HSCSC) has launched the Live It Up! On Hillsborough St. website, a user-friendly site focused on highlighting what Hillsborough Street has to offer. The new website leaves users one click away from finding exactly what they need on Hillsborough Street.
The new tools on the site include an interactive business directory, including food and drink, restaurants and services, nightlife and accommodations. It illustrates the surrounding area and central nature of the Street within the southwest Raleigh community. It also includes parking and transportation information, a calendar of events, and detailed maps throughout the site.
“We wanted a website that was easy to use and effective in marketing Hillsborough Street and our businesses,” Jeff Murison, Executive Director of HSCSC. The website is helpful for people in the area, but also to those planning a visit.
“The site is loaded with interactive functions such as maps that not only show you where a business is located, but also what is nearby, where to park, and events located in the area,” said Murison. The site was designed to be user friendly for local residents, NC State students, faculty and staff, and visitors to the area whether they are returning alumni or business travelers coming to campus, the sports stadiums or downtown Raleigh.
“Raleigh and NC State are a very technology savvy community and we wanted a website that delivers user friendly solutions for finding out where to go, what to do and what’s going on at the businesses on Hillsborough Street,” said Kevin Jennings, HSCSC President and owner of Porters restaurant.
