Nights are longer and the weather is warmer and everyone wants to stay busy this summer... Hillsborough Street has you covered! Here is a list of FREE events that are happening this Summer on Hillsborough Street for your entertainment and the most memorable summer ever.
Movies in the Garden
Join us, Raleigh Little Theatre and Raleigh Brewing Company this summer for five free movies on Thursdays from July 11 - August 8. The movies will be shown at the Stephenson Amphitheater right next to the Raleigh Rose Garden. Concessions will be available for purchase and food trucks will be at each show. Concessions & pre-show events will open at 7pm and the movies will start at 8:30pm. Let us know that your coming and RSVP to the event on Facebook. Trivia all Week Long
Several Hillsborough Street merchants host trivia nights throughout the week that are a great opportunity to bring friends together for a night of laughter and competition. Brush up on your trivia skills and make plans for weeknight trivia this summer on Hillsborough Street!
Red Line Beer & Wine hosts Trivia Tuesdays from 9-11pm each week. Come out Tuesday nights to enjoy your favorite summer drink and some fun competition, dogs are welcome! The fun continues Wednesday nights at Raleigh Brewing Company from 8-10pm for a night of fun, friends and a chance to win 1st, 2nd & 3rd place prizes. You can also enjoy a pizza and great competition at Trivia with Lee at Brickhouse Sports Bar and Grille every Wednesday night at 8pm! Or wrap up your week on Thursday night Trivia! Trivia! Trivia! with Rusty at 8pm at the Green Monkey. Come ready to compete and enjoy their Ridiculously Low Priced Wine Special happening all day on Thursdays.
JC Raulston Arboretum
Ready to enjoy the warm summer weather? The JC Raulston Arboretum has many opportunities this summer to explore its gardens and to appreciate nature's beauty. Guided tours of the garden are FREE and available to the public every Sunday at 2pm between March and October. Private group tours are also available with a suggested minimum donation of $50.
The Gregg Museum
The Gregg Museum values making art accessible and its rotating schedule of exhibits highlights a variety of diverse artists, media and techniques. Beyond touring the museum, the Gregg also offers a calendar of outdoor summer programs including Yoga in the Garden, Tai Chi in the Garden and a special movie in the Garden- Roger Corman's Sharktopus. Learn more about the fantastic art in the Gregg Museum exhibits or join the Gregg Museum in its various programs all summer long. Raleigh Brewery Tours
Boost your beer knowledge and learn about the behind-the-scenes of your favorite RBC beer creation. Brewery tours are held the first Saturday of each month at 3pm and admission to the public is FREE. Come early as tours will be capped at 30 people.
Free the Mic at Lucky Tree Cafe
Join local artists at the Lucky Tree Cafe every 2nd & 4th Monday of the month. Free the Mic is a platform for you to express your creative talents in poetry, spoken word, rap and instrumentals. Come as an artist or a spectator and be ready to be inspired by bold and original talent.
Annual Summer Concert Series
Join us in Pullen Park this summer to enjoy popular local acts in their cover performances and original work. You can check out the lineup of performers coming to Pullen Park this summer here. All shows are free to the public, bring your own picnic or stop by the Pullen Place Cafe before the show!
Karaoke with DJ Stevie B
Catch the best karaoke in the Triangle every Friday night at 9pm at Brickhouse Sports Bar & Grille. Enjoy an evening of entertainment or get on stage and sing along at Brickhouse Friday nights this summer.
Bingo, Bingo, Bingo!
Hell Yeah, I Have Bingo is every Tuesday night at The Green Monkey. Keep in mind this is not your grandmother's bingo and is intended for mature audiences. You can also join Redline Beer & Wine for keep your pint glass night and Bar Bingo every Thursday night at 9pm this summer.
