Live and Local: Earth Day on Hillsborough Street 2015

Live It Up! Hillsborough Street is pleased to announce the 4th annual Hillsborough Street Earth Day Music Fest happening Saturday, April 11, 2015. This free, family-friendly, event will start at 2:00 p.m. and go until (at least) 9:00 p.m. The event will feature three stages located at Logan Court, Chamberlain Street and Compienge Park. (Hillsborough Street will not be shut down for the event.)

Bouncy houses, environmental workshops and over 60 vendors are just a few of the featured attractions. The student-run Campus Farmer's Market at NC State will be a key feature of Earth Day. Vendors take cash or credit for fresh cut flowers, produce, cookies and more at the market! Drink locally-made craft brews at one of our three stages and buy local from some of the best artisans the Triangle has to offer. The Alternative Fuel Vehicle showcase will feature the BMW i3 and many other low-carbon rides. Artist Christopher Terrell will lead a recycled art workshop where you and your kids can make a wallet out of a milk carton (we will provide the scissors, you provide the carton).

Make sure to follow @LiveLocalRal for all the latest updates.
