Live It Up! Street Festival 2010
The Live It Up! On Hillsborough Street festival on Sat. Sept. 26th 2010 celebrated the completion of the streetscape construction project and reintroduced the street to the greater Raleigh community. The all day street festival united the NC State Campus and the neighboring community with merchants on Hillsborough Street. Visitors of all ages, from local residents, to students, families and alumni young and old all filled the street, restaurants, bars, and stores that have been a staple of Hillsborough Street. Music, arts and crafts, food, the NC State football game and the dedication ceremony were just a few parts of the day. It was a great start to a new chapter for Hillsborough Street and NC State. The event won the Neighborhood Recognition Award from the Raleigh Citizens Advisory Council for the most outstanding community event of the year
