Tasty Tuesday: Checkers Pizza

Welcome to this week’s edition of Tasty Tuesday! Today, I had the pleasure of giving Checkers Pizza & Subs a try. As an avid pizza lover, you could probably imagine my excitement upon receiving this assignment!

One of the first things I noticed about Checkers Pizza & Subs were the business hours. They are open from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m. every day!  Something about being a college student with a part-time job, internships, and extracurricular activities, but homework usually has me up pretty late. It’s nice to know that when I get the late night munchies, while knocking out some homework and studying, I won’t have to make that trek over to Cook Out. I mean why go out when you can have delicious pizza delivered to your door? Am I right?

This time, because I was already on Hillsborough Street for class, I decided to stop in and try some pizza! Pizza is my absolute favorite food, but in the case you aren’t really a pizza person, no worries because there are also appetizers, subs, salads, and just about any other Italian and Greek dish you could think of on the menu.

I ordered a small chicken, bacon, ranch pizza, which came with a ranch based sauce, grilled white-meat chicken, bacon, roma tomatoes, and chopped onions (I asked for no tomatoes). They offer various sizes for their pizzas ranging from $10.99 for the smallest size and $21.99 for their largest. The small pizza was perfect for serving one person, leaving me with just enough room for a slice of homemade carrot cake!

All in all everything was delicious, and I can’t wait to try it again! Maybe next time I’ll pay an extra $2.00 to get everything delivered to me!

Checkers Pizza and Subs is excellent! I highly recommend it to any and all night owls. Head on down to 2810 Hillsborough St Raleigh NC, 27607, when you get a chance! You won’t regret it! Once you fall in love with their food, you might as well apply for a job because they're hiring!
