My name is Kara, and I am a senior studying Economics and German at NC State.

My goal as an Economic Development Intern is to figure out how I can best help HSCSC support local businesses and keep Hillsborough Street flourishing. After graduation I plan on pursuing a career in behavioral economics where I can improve the financial well-being of individuals, businesses, and their surrounding communities. This summer I am also working as the Promotions Director at WKNC 88.1, and I spend my free time listening to local music, trail running, and reading anything by David Sedaris.
