The Earth Wall located in the lobby of Aloft Raleigh's hotel was created by Thomas Sayre an American Sculptor and Painter. He is especially known for his Earthcastings, a process developed by the artist that includes earth and concrete mixed with iron oxide along with structural supports to create monumental in scale sculptures.
This piece was commissioned by Aloft Raleigh to bring a warm feeling to their hotel lobby.
