The Gregg Museum of Art & Design is the art museum of North Carolina State University and is located near NC State's Main Campus. Starting as a mission to acquire and exhibit art that reflect's the university's curricula, the program grew into the Visual Arts Program and originally housed up to 5,000 objects in Talley Student Union.

As the collection grew so did the need for a new name and location. On August 26th of 2017, The Gregg Museum opened in its current home at 1903 Hillsborough Street with more than 54,000 objects. 

The museum holds exhibitions, programs, lectures, tours, film screenings, and has semester-long internships for course credit.

The Gregg Museum is unlike any other with a collection that spans cultures, disciplines and designs. Visitors can see an expansive collection of Textiles, Ceramics, Paintings, Photography, Sculptures, and more.
