State of the Street

Big things are happening along Hillsborough Street. November 18th at 4:00pm the staff of Live It Up! Hillsborough Street  are presenting Hillsborough St's State of the Street Virtual Town Hall. This mid-year check-in is an opportunity to get a first-hand look at the future of our three-mile corridor that runs on both sides of Hillsborough Street, from St. Mary’s School to Meredith College and the I440 Beltline (including Morgan St., a few side streets and connections with the Village District).

2040 Vision & West Raleigh Spotlight

This year’s event will unviel Live it Up's completed 2040 Vision Plan, presented by P.U.M.A. (Progressive Urban Management Associates). The 2040 Vision Plan lays out the strategic roadmap for Hillsborough Street's growth, balancing retail diversification, public realm upgrades, density, and community engagement over the coming decades.

In addition to core Hillsborough Street updates, the town hall will feature a special section highlight  the West Raleigh District, an area bordered by I-40/Edwards Mill Road to the west, I-440 to the east, Western Boulevard to the south and the intersection of Edwards Mill Road & Blue Ridge Road to the north. Representatives from the West Raleigh Alliance will join the event to share key updates on ongoing projects, community initiatives, and collaborative developments happening across the West Raleigh District.
