Are you interested in transportation systems or urban planning? Do you want to help answer big questions about Hillsborough Street’s design and traffic flow? 

Then this is the internship for you!

The Transportation interns will focus primarily on projects associated with business management and operations of the Hillsborough Street Community Service Corporation, programs and activities designed to support the success of the businesses on Hillsborough Street, and research and development of urban design, transportation planning, and economic development.

Responsibilities include:

• Taking an inventory of the transportation and parking infrastructure surrounding Hillsborough Street

• Evaluating signage

• Researching transportation and parking policies as well as industry best practices

• Taking a count of vehicles, bicycles, & pedestrians that inhabit the district daily 

We are seeking interns who are: creative, outgoing, deadline driven, self- starters, proactive, detail oriented, flexible, committed and think outside the box.
