Step into a space of deep connection and inner stillness with this Mindfulness in Nature workshop with certified Forest Therapy Guide, Shawn Ramsey. This workshop is designed to help you cultivate awareness, presence and a renewed sense of harmony with the natural world. Through a blend of forest bathing elements, journaling, walking meditation and creative nature-inspired exploration, you’ll engage your senses, quiet your mind, and discover the profound benefits of mindful time in nature.
Participants will learn to:
Quiet the mind and cultivate inner stillness
Open the senses to deepen awareness of self and surroundings
Enhance connection with nature, self and community
Tap into the emotional and physical health benefits of nature immersion
Explore mindfulness practices to continue beyond the workshop
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in:
Meditations (sitting, walking and sensory awakening)
Journaling and Reflection
Forest Bathing Invitations
This immersive experience will leave participants feeling grounded, rejuvenated and inspired to continue cultivating mindfulness in nature.
What to Expect
This experience will include some time sitting, standing and walking. It will also include opportunities for us to gather as a group, and other opportunities designed to help you connect with nature one-on-one. If you have trouble with any of these activities, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your needs if possible.
Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants will be required to sign a waiver.
No experience with meditation and/or mindfulness is required.
Tea and snacks will be provided. Please disclose any allergies.
What to Bring:
Closed toe shoes, suitable for walking on uneven terrain
Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing (check your forecast)
Rain gear, if rain is in the forecast
Water and light snacks
A journal—paper will be provided otherwise
A lightweight foam pad or portable, folding stool will be provided for you to sit on. You are welcome to bring your own camp chair, blanket or a yoga mat, if this would make you more comfortable.
A sense of wonder and curiosity – highly encouraged.
