Arts Spotlight: TheatreFESTival

Are you interested in what happens behind the scenes of live performances? Do you want to know more about what goes into designing and producing a show? Audiences only see the final product, but NC State is sharing the tricks of the trade! Come to TheatreFESTival to learn about what happens behind the curtains.

Join NC State and University Theatre on Saturday, June 15, from 1-5pm at Frank Thompson Hall to learn about the backstage magic of the theatre. This casual open house features seminars on everything from stitching costumes to fight choreography to what it’s like to work as an actor in Raleigh, so there will be something for everyone.

In between sessions, learn about local theatre companies and their upcoming seasons and enter to win free tickets! In addition, local businesses will be in attendance with information and giveaways. Throughout the day enjoy performances from the wolfpackPICKERS, an open bluegrass jam band affiliated with NC State.

Admission is free and attendees can tailor their day through Guidebook by selecting the activities that best interest them. For more information on events and how to register, check out https://theatre.arts.ncsu.edu/2018-19-season/theatrefestival/
