Nina Szlosberg-Landis is a civic leader who is currently in her third term as an At-large member of the NC Board of Transportation representing environmental issues. In 2000, Nina founded and continues to serve on the board of the nonprofit organization "The Hillsborough Street Partnership' which has successfully organized the community around the revitalization of historic Hillsborough Street.  In 2001, the NC Chapter of the American Planning Association named her "Citizen Planner of the Year".  In 2003, Nina was selected as one of ten Eisenhower Fellows in the United States.  Currently, she serves as President of the NC League of Conservation voters and Chairs its Political Action Committee. Nina lives just blocks off Hillsborough Street and can frequently be spotted riding her bike throughout the community.
