Devon Howard

Director of Engagement

Devon Howard joined the Live It Up! Hillsborough Street team in March 2018, taking on the role of Director of Communications and Events. In the summer of 2021, she transitioned to Director of Engagement.

In her role, Devon manages most of the external-facing projects to help promote Hillsborough Street. She manages all communications, marketing and advertising efforts while overseeing all events and activations efforts. She also serves as a community liaison on several committees.

Prior to her time in Raleigh, Devon spent nearly six years at James Madison University, working in the athletics communications department to promote the university’s brand and the success of the athletics programs.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation and sport management from Coastal Carolina University and a master’s degree in sport leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.

In her spare time, Devon spends time with her furbabies, Binx and Bellatrix, and enjoys watching college sports, reading and cooking. She also serves on the Harmony Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Disability Partnerships Board of Directors.
