On a green space near "The Brickyard" on NC State's Main Campus, you will find two large sculptures commonly known as "Wolf Ears".
These sculptures allow you to experience physics in action as they are examples of Parabolic Reflectors. While sitting at one "Wolf Ear" you can speak to the person sitting 40 feet away at the other "Wolf Ear". The sound easily travels from one ear to the other because it is being reflected through the focus points.
