Artsplosure has showcased North Carolina's flora and fauna by bringing wildflowers to the streets of Raleigh! In partnership with artist Kat Lanser, botanist Greg Wilson, and Live It Up! Hillsborough Street, they have adorned power boxes along Hillsborough Street with artistic wildflower micro murals.
Power Box 2 of 5 is located at Hillsborough St. & Gardner St. It is an illustration of the Fire Pink which are part of the Carnation Family. Ruby-throated hummingbirds are the primary pollinators and the term "pink" does not refer to the color of the flower but instead the "fringe" at the tips of the petals.
