Julie joined York Properties to spearhead business development and client engagement. She brings a background in business and strategic management, marketing, budgeting, client engagement and passion for community building.
Previously she served as Executive Director for the Triangle District of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). In that role Julie strengthened the local community and impact of commercial real estate professionals and made ULI Triangle the go-to organization for Triangle CRE.
Prior to ULI, Julie served as the Executive Director of Playspace Children’s Museum, where she spearheaded a successful merger with Exploris to create Marbles Kids Museum. For her work with the children’s museum, Julie was honored with the Triangle Business Journal’s Women in Business Award in 2007.
From 1992 – 1996, Julie assisted entrepreneurs and small businesses with strategic business planning and market research as the Director of Marketing and Research Service for the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC), a program of The University of North Carolina System.
Julie and her husband, Mack, a land use attorney, live in Raleigh and have two daughters. Julie serves on the Board of Directors for DHIC and CAM Raleigh.
Julie earned a BA in French from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Colombia University Business School.
